This ginkgo tree in front of Tokyo Metropolitan Takehaya High school on Kasuga Street is in the old residence of Yoshinobu Tokugawa (1866-1867), the fifth shogun of Edo Period (1603-1867). It's hard to believe that this tree has been there for more than 140 years, because it seems to fit in perfectly with its present-day surroundings. This ginkgo tree is very big and has turned a beautiful yellow color. |
