The plane is brought to and assembled on the shore of Lake Biwa, and final adjustments made prior to the contest. It takes a lot of time to assemble and adjust the plane, so we set up a tent and worked day and night for a week getting it ready. However, the thought of seeing our plane, the result of our dreams and efforts flying over Lake Biwa, made it all worthwhile.

There are many people swimming in the lake while watching the contest because it is one of Japan's leading tourist destinations and a popular swimming spot for swimming.
