Very thin white noodles are usually served cold with a soy-based dipping sauce. For cold noodles in a stream, they are served in a bamboo trunk which has been cut in half, and tilted so that the noodles slide down with water. People scoop the cool noodles out of the stream and eat them.

This dessert is made with agar and azuki bean paste, in a similar way to yokan. However, it is prepared with more water and salt, and its texture is very smooth. When the jelly becomes hard, it is chilled and served on or wrapped in a cherry leaf.

This dessert is made by shaving ice with a special machine and then pouring syrup over it. The syrup comes in many flavors, such as strawberry, melon, lemon, blue Hawaii and azuki bean.
