In the 29th year of Meiji (1894), the spermatozoa of plants was first discovered on this ginkgo tree.
The tree is near an open space in the botanical garden. It is very striking even among the big trees, and it seems as if it is looking down at the people. The space is very peaceful.

ACCESS : Take the Toei-Mita Line to Hakusan Station. Walk along Hakusan Street.
The garden with the ginkgo tree is on the right side of Rengejizaka and Gotenzaka.
