2 blocks firm tofu (momen-do~fu)
1/2 clove garlic
l/2 knob ginger root
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. soy sauce

1 . Drain blocks of tofu (page 101) and cut each into fourths.
Grate ginger root and press or mince garlic.
2. In a frying pan, heat the oil. Add tofu and cook well. turning
once, till golden brown.
3. Place ginger root and garlic on a small dish, alongside tofu.
Sprinkle tofu with soy sauce.
