Most of the stalls sell fish and vegetables. Fish and shellfish are caught in the nearby sea, and vegetables and fruits are harvested by local farmers. Both fish and vegetables are very fresh and at the peak of season. Some stalls grill the fish so people can taste it.

Some stalls sell folk crafts such as wood carvings, and old-fashioned Japanese straw sandals (waraji). These are used as charms which bring good fortune. There are many varieties of size and color.
